OUR RESEARCH -Leaves and twigs can be used as rooibos tea -Rooibos tea is also popular as a health tea because it contains no harmful stimulation and it totally devoid of caffeine. -bulbs and leaves are used as wild garlic that is traditionally used for fever and cold, but also for asthma and tuberculosis -Decoction are administered as enemas for stomach problem -The leaves are used to treat cancer of the oesophagus. -The leaves may be eaten as vegetables. -It is used as a laxative medicine -The leaves and roots are boiled in water and are taken as a laxative -It is also arthritis, eczema, conjunctivitis, hypertension and stress. -Leaf infusions are taken for fever and also for convulsion as fits in children and for epilepsy and hysteria -Bruised leaves are used as a treatment against toothache and earache, while decoction have been used to ease child birth -Bruised leaves may be placed on a tooth and in the ears to alleviate pain. -The leaves and twigs are harvested

ALONG THE BUSHES
-Bark (grind the bark finely pour in the river to paralyse fish) and then catch them -Water from boiled leaves can treat malaria
-Take the leaves and boil them then drink -It helps headache and flu -No allocated dosage -It can be used for all the ages -You can find them in the forest -You burn the bark and the ashes can be used as toothpaste

-Bark is most preferred by elephants -Leaves high in protein and normally browsed by animals so it has sharp thorns which prevent it from being over-browsed -It has nitrogen fixing bacteria in its roots which helps adding nutrients back in soil
-The tree is 5000 years old -It is a succulent -Fruits of the tree are eatable -Powder from fruit can be used as a substitute for yeast (It contain cream of tartar) -Leaves when fresh can be eaten as Spanish -Roots can be used as dye. -Seeds when grind can be used as substitute for coffee.
