I am Neo Moroka and my nick name is Javi. I was born in Vryburg, in the year 1986 and my birthday is on the 13th of July. I live in Vryburg, a small township called "Naledi", it is known as Huhudi. I was born at Vryburg Hospital. .

I live in a small group of family. My brother sister and my mother and grandmother. I attend school at tiger Kloof . I started at that school in 2002 in Grade 8. My dad lives in Kimberley.

Mawana is a wonderful place to stay as a camp . What I like about it is that every day I learn something new: working as a team, discovering plants and animals. I learned so many things about nature. The camp is a good place to gather all kinds of people from all kinds of places.

The staff of Mawana camp is extremely friendly ; they have this ubuntu. They are all good teachers who are all about teamwork.

The team camp, The Shooters, works very well as a group, working together in the kitchen and for the games. In all the games we were so good together; we played "spiral"; that was tough, but we managed to finish it in time.

Greetings. I am Katlego Maruping, a grade11 student at Tiger Kloof. I am a day scholar. I live in Vryburg

My mom and dad are divorced so I live with my mom. I have only one sister and she has a child called Pabby. Most of my time I spend with my mom and so some call me “mama’s baby”, that is true. She is a mother and a friend to me. We talk about everything. We are a small family and I like it.

I have lots of friends; in fact everyone is my friend. I enjoy spending time with my friends cause I understand them and vice versa. I’m not a moody person so we get along very well. We often go to parties together. We also help each other with homework. One could say that we are typical teenagers cause we do everything teens do, good things only.

The camp, Oh my, I thought that I would find tents, no chairs, tables, just bushes but to my surprise it was very very very lovely. I love it so much that I don't miss home at all. The games we played there were so challenging and team building. I was so glad we saw animals. It was so nice to be in Mawana.

My name is Ontlotlile Otsekeng and I come from the Republic of South Africa. I live in Mafikeng but I attend school near Vryburg at Tiger Kloof. I am a boarder and in Grade 9 (From 2; Std. 7). I went to Tiger Kloof in 2003 and this is my second year. This was my first time crossing the border and going into a new country. I have 3 brothers: they live with my mother. I have one grandparent left and the other 3 passed away (both from my father's side and my grand mother from my mother's side).

First impressions on the camp

The fun thing at the camp was, when I noticed, how mother nature creatures, including plants, helped each other so much and every single one of them was unique. The camp also helped us learn more about each other and taught us how to work together. I made a couple of new friends and  I learned more about myself ( a part i never knew). We were split into 4 groups , some consisting of 5 pupils, some of 4.

When we played games we combined the first 2 groups and the last two. We all worked very well together. The rest, you will have to experience it

 yourself!

My name is Tshegofatso Mokgotho. I was born in Vryburg and my home is at Kimberly. I live with my parents and my two younger sisters. I love my family so much and we are quite a very happy family.

I attend school at Tiger Kloof, near Vryburg, and I’m in grade 11.My subjects are Mathematics, Science, Setswana, English, Accounting and Business Economics. I like my school so much because I’ve learned so much and experienced so many things from it. I also had an opportunity to seek my talents. According to me; to be at Tiger Kloof is a privilege, because not all people had an opportunity to be in my school.

During my spare time I make sure that all my homework’s are done and I attend all my afternoon activities and not forgetting prayer group sessions.

I have lots of friends in my school and we love each other very much. We spend a lot of time together. I am not a moody person but I get angry easily.

To be in Mawana was a very good experience because I’ve learned so many things. I didn’t expect the beautiful things that I have seen.
