The animals we saw during our stay at Mawana

We saw a big herd of Elephants. There are so many elephants at Mawana. Maybe you know that elephants are herbivores, if you didn't know now you know. Elephants mostly eat medicinal plants that why they are so big and strong. A baby elephant when born weighs 60kg

We also saw lots of Impalas. Impala meat tastes very nice you should try it.

There are also Zebras. There are two types of Zebras, mountain zebras and bushel zebras. At Mawana we only found bushel zebras

Have you ever heard about Dusies.? Well if you haven't we have and we saw some too. Dusies are animals that like to live on the rocks. They are small animals.

Water buck . Also one of the animals we saw in mawana. Males have horns and female don't have horns. There's a myth on why it is called a water buck, it's because they drink a lot of water. We didn't see much of the water buck .

We went for a game drive at night and we saw a Bush Baby. Do you know what that is, it is a small animal with red eyes. It looks like a little monkey. We did not see much of the animal because it was dark.

Oohhh! we just had to take a picture of this cute little Frog and the further. We call this art in the bush. Isn't it lovely?

Just like the water buck, the Kudu male has horns and female doesn't have horns. At night (like all antelopes) it has a blue reflection from their eyes.

Squirrel There were so many of them at the campsite. They really move fast

You know the mopani tree right, well we saw Mopani Worms. they really tastes good .you should try them sometime. They develop from mopani leaves.
